Serving Our Neighbors
The LSPC Missions Team is highlighting opportunities to give to and serve with our mission partners.
We are thankful for the opportunity to support and volunteer through our mission partners. The Mission Team highlights three opportunities: The Friendship Center (our local food pantry), World Relief (welcomes/supports refugees), and Breakthrough Urban Ministry (serves the East Garfield Park community).
Lincoln Square Friendship Center (LSFC)
LSFC is located at 2711 W. Lawrence Ave. The Friendship Center fosters hope and dignity in our neighborhood through access to food, vital resources, and critical social services. The center is open to clients on Monday 12-4 pm, Tuesday 3-7 pm, Thursday 12-4 pm, and Friday 12-4 pm. In addition to these possible volunteer days, LSPC has committed to providing volunteers on Wednesday - the day of re-stocking and organizing. If you are interested in serving at the Friendship Center, please contact Pastor Chad.
World Relief Chicago
This organization is looking for volunteers (virtually) who can serve as homework tutors for refugee children. This is especially important this year, as most are attending school virtually and lack the educational support from in-person school. They also need English tutors for adults who have recently relocated to the U.S.

World Relief is also raising donations in support of immigrant and refugee children in Chicago. With your help, they will be given a gift of learning and support that will aid their development for years to come. Visit the link to learn more about donating funds or learning bags.
Breakthrough Ministries
There are many ways to support Breakthrough as they serve the East Garfield Park community. Here is a link to see their Covid response.
